Image generation

Discover how Scribe automatically generates fantasy images for each session. Choose from multiple quality levels and styles to visually capture your story.

Scribe automatically generates AI images for each session to visually capture the most memorable scenes from your game. Image generation is optional and billed separately (learn more about Credits)

What to Expect

Scribe’s images effectively capture the tone and emotion of each scene, but due to the complexity (and limitations) of image generation, they are not perfectly accurate.

Scribe's image generation is based on the content of each session segment, not specific user prompts or character models. While the system is trained to produce fantasy-themed artwork that reflects the tone and setting of your campaign, you should expect to see:

  • Generic fantasy characters, not an exact likenesses of your party

  • Approximate environments and action based on the described events

  • Broad alignment with the emotional tone and themes of the session

Images are not yet personalized to match your custom Adventurers or NPCs — but this is a planned improvement.

How It Works

  • Each session is broken into 4–5 narrative segments based on content length and structure

  • Scribe automatically generates one image per segment

  • You can select from three image quality levels (see below)

  • Images are generated after summary completion, and are included as part of the final session output

Images are not currently generated for Lore entries (Adventurers, NPCs, or Locations).

Available Image Styles

Scribe currently supports 12 image generation styles. These define the visual aesthetic (e.g., painterly, pixelated, cinematic). You can set a default style per campaign or change it per session.

Limitations

  • Images cannot currently be edited, refined, or regenerated

  • There is no manual scene selection — images are based on segment content

  • No images are generated for Lore entries at this time

We are actively working to improve accuracy, personalization, and editing controls.

Future Improvements

We’re planning several updates to improve the image generation system:

  • Image generation for NPCs, Adventurers, and Locations

  • Improved accuracy for custom Adventurers and NPCs

  • The ability to revise or regenerate images

  • Support for custom scene selection
