Scribe supports audio files up to 300MB in size. To stay within this limit, most sessions will need to be compressed before upload — especially if recorded on desktop software like Zoom, OBS, or Discord bots.


Target File Size

  • For best results, aim for ~100MB for every 3 hours of audio.

  • Scribe supports sessions up to 6 hours long if compressed efficiently

  • Sessions longer than 6 hours should be split into 2 or more files before uploading.

We recommend exporting to .m4a format for a good balance of quality and size.
